gross story!!!!

Beware, some may not be able to handle this story.....
This morning, Brett got up and was taking his shower, and as normal, I was still in bed sleeping, when all of a sudden, I felt something on my face. I was still half asleep, so didn't think much of it. Five minutes later, I felt something again, opened my eyes, and there was a roach!!!! Agghhh! I screamed so loud Brett thought I was being murdered, so he jumps out of the shower to come and save me (thankfully, it didn't wake Matthew up!) We killed the roach, I washed my mouth with strong mouthwash, and the sheets are being washed as we speak. Ewww! For those of you not from DFW, roaches can be a common thing, especially in older homes! Be thankful it didn't happen to you =)

It's a halo!

Don't you think the sun sets off a wonderful glow? =)

Pre-teen Camp

Brett and I made the trek to Mt. Lebanon camp at the end of June. This was our first overnight away from Matthew (how romantic! We had 73 pre-teens with us!) We had a great week, and over 15 kids made decisions for the Lord.

M's first swim

A few weeks ago, we took Matthew for his first swim! He loved crawling around in the water, and splashing everywhere.

it's been a busy few weeks!

Well, it's official-- Matthew is really crawling! Not "commando" crawling, army style, but really zooming past us on the floor. He is also pulling up and getting into way too much stuff-- the file cabinet, going through our DVDs, etc. But that's what makes life fun! He is also enjoying the swing at the park (the pic below was his first swing ride in April), and also loves biting mommy's arms. (A few people have asked if I'm being beaten-- and I just say it's by my 11 month old). We're working on resolving that issue.....

Look how much he's grown! This was taken last week.... look at his hair!

help I'm trying to escape!

Matthew fell asleep while trying to break out of his crib =)

Peekaboo, I love you!

The other night, Matthew figured out he could look through the slats of his high chair--he was so cute and fun!
